I worked from home on Friday to spend the day with my daughter who was off from school. I was hoping to go to the movies with her. I ended up working until 5:00. Daughter ended up spending the night with a friend of hers. It's nice when she gets to do that, being an only child, I'm sure she gets lonely at home.
I spent Saturday morning doing homework. I felt like I missed more than I got right but after reviewing that wasn't quite true. My team did a math lab and we were able to do all of our team problems. Doug and Dave are math whiz's so they were able to help so much. I'm going to redo them for turning in. I want do try them again on my own.
Sunday I worked on the website - www.lonestarcowgirls.com for 4 hours. I still need to finish the horse's members page. I also played rockband with my daughter for about 1/2 hr. She then remembered she needs two books for school for Monday. We ran by Katy Budget Books and were able to get both of them. I picked up 3 used books myself - yea! Then, to home depot and the garden place for a couple of flats of flowers.
I joyously spent the late afternoon and early evening planting vincas and wishbone plants. The flower bed looks nice again.
And, lastly, I go up at 5:00 and worked out again. I feel better about that.
I wanted to talk to my manager about my promotion today. Unfortunately, he's out of the office and I'm not sure if he'll be back this week. blech.
But, I will have a good day today :)

Ordinary Stress
Had a teleconference with my team to see how everyone feels about how the professor is handling everything. It wasn't good. Most of us are just going to see how things unfold. Prof accussed one member of editing a plagairism checker - we aren't even sure how to do that!
Jocie has a big project due tomorrow, I'll help her with that tonight but she HAS to let us know when she has homework or a test. I told her if she doesn't keep her grades up she'll end up at a community college. Hopefully, that will be her motivation. Nothing motivates her so we'll see.
Wish me luck with all this that's going on!

Ordinary College Frustrations
I've just finished by 7th college course and with credits I'm carrying over, I now have 27 credits! woo hoo!
But, this last course, Psychology, was frustrating to say the least. Our "professor" (I'm using this term lightly because he was much less than that) was less prepared for teaching this course, than we were at learning it. He constantly changed the syllabus with no written notice, changed grades - from passing to zeros with little or no explanation. Though later, he explained he did this to get our attention. He didn't like to talk during class. Told us it makes him tired. We thought he was there to teach! We had 1 quiz and he was supposed to give us a study guide for it. We received 4 names and were told to know these people. The questions he asked were not things we had ever covered in class. Vent, vent, vent. Other team mates were treated much worse than I so I guess I should be thankful. And while I received an A- in this course, it isn't justified at all.
Members of my team are working on getting a meeting with the Chairman over this Dept. Hopefully, it will happen soon to prevent other people from having to deal with him.
But, we are on to college math - yikes! That starts Tuesday and while I'm intimiated by it, I'm feeling better than I did with Psy. Wish me luck!
